After practicing in a general practice law firm for 17 years in Williston, North Dakota, Margy returned to her native state of Montana and joined Brown Law Firm, P.C., in 1998. With her general practice background, she has developed a broad litigation practice while continuing to provide limited transactional assistance to clients. Included among her litigation cases are those involving real estate, creditors, bankruptcy, personal injury defense, and professional liability defense. Margy is licensed to practice in North Dakota and Montana, and has recently expanded her practice to include oil & gas title work in both jurisdictions.
Margy has achieved an AV rating through Martindale- Hubbell, an acknowledgment by her peers of achievement of the highest level of legal ability and ethical standards. She has served on the Lawyer Referral committees for the state bar associations of Montana and North Dakota in addition to serving as a member of the North Dakota Real Estate Commission. In acknowledgment of her commitment to public service, Margy is a past recipient of the Pro Bono Publico award.
Margy graduated with a B.S. from Pacific University, an M.S. from Portland State University and with a J.D. from the University of Montana Law School.
