Matt Tourtlotte is originally from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He attended Gonzaga University from 1991 through 1994 and graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He attended the University of Montana Law School from 1996-1999. After graduating from law school, Matt worked on a one year clerkship with Montana's Twenty-First Judicial District Court in Ravalli County.
Matt has over 12 years of experience in defense and complex tort litigation. He joined the Brown Law Firm in 2002 and became a shareholder with the firm in 2009. Matt has litigated cases in Montana State and Federal Courts. He has appeared as trial counsel or co-trial counsel in several cases. His body of work includes the representation of clients in complex environmental tort cases, complex injury cases, construction and public works litigation, residential property and construction disputes, products liability, insurance claims, insurance bad faith, insurance coverage/compliance issues, risk management, land use and bankruptcy claims.
