Lisa Speare graduated from the Davidson Honors College at the University of Montana with a degree in History.  She graduated with honors from the University of Montana School of Law in 1995.  Immediately after law school, she clerked for the Montana Supreme Court in Helena.  Ms. Speare joined the Brown Law Firm in 1996 and is a partner whose practice consists of civil defense litigation with an emphasis on defense of physicians, hospitals and nursing homes.  Ms. Speare is past president of the Yellowstone Area Bar Association and is a member of the Montana Supreme Court's Advisory Commission on the Rules of Civil and Appellate Procedure.  She is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of Montana, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
